Character Building Doctor Who Dalek Spaceship Set Review

My son is a massive Doctor Who fan, which I am as well (See Doctor Who?) and following on from my Character Building Doctor Who TARDIS Console Room Mega Set Review here is another product from Character Building and their Doctor Who themed products.

This time we have the Dalek Spaceship Set! Based on everyone's favourite Doctor Who baddies, the Daleks!

They are the most feared creatures in existence as well as being the longest lasting. They appeared with the first Doctor in the episode The Dalek Invasion of Earth in 1963 and even featured on a postage stamp in 1999 and were seen most recently in Asylum of the Daleks, where we discovered that even the Daleks were afraid of each other!

Daleks are even mentioned as being the ultimate enemy of the Time Lords (the race of beings that the Doctor belongs to) and of wiping them all out during the often mentioned but never seen Time War, of which the Doctor and the Master (who only survived by hiding as a human at the end of time itself) were the only survivors.

Conquerors of countless worlds, annihilators of alien civilisations, they are the supreme beings in the universe and now you can own your own copy of their saucer-shaped ships which are fast, powerful and heavily armed. Fleets of these attack craft are near-unstoppable! Whether invading the Earth or battling Spitfires in space, Dalek spaceships strike fear into the heart of anyone who sees them coming. With these saucers in their arsenal, the Daleks are the scourge of the galaxy!

The Character Building Doctor Who Dalek Spaceship is highly detailed and functional construction playset with moveable parts, the interior and exterior views of the spaceship and even a detachable skimmer car, laser cannons and transparent dome and complete with two Dalek Drone micro-figures.

The Dalek Spaceship is a construction playset, meaning you can destroy and rebuild the spaceship as often as you like, whilst you play out your own version of the Time War and is also compatible with other Character Building Doctor Who sets and also lego as well, meaning that playtime is endless fun and different each time!

**Please note that the 11th Doctor in these two photos do not come with the Dalek Spaceship but are from the TARDIS playset**

Building the Dalek spaceship can be time consuming as there are 440 pieces, but the instructions are easy to understand and follow, although one suggestion I will make is to sort out the pieces by colour before you start as it makes searching for the piece you need that much easier!

Once built, my son had lots of fun playing with the Dalek Spaceship and enacting his own Time War using his TARDIS playset as well. An ideal gift for Christmas or Birthday for any little (or big) Doctor Who fan!

We were sent the Character Building Doctor Who Dalek Spaceship for free on the understanding I would write an honest review of what I thought about the product. I received no payment and the review is my own honest and unbiased opinion of the product and I retain full editorial control and integrity.
