Character Building Doctor Who TARDIS Console Room Mega Set Review

My son is a massive Doctor Who fan and he gets it from me (See Doctor Who?) and being a fan of Doctor Who means he loves pretending to be the Doctor and flying his own TARDIS.

So when we found the Character Building Doctor Who TARDIS Console Playset on offer in Argos, he just had to have it!

As any good Whovian (fan of Doctor Who) knows, TARDIS stands for Time And Relative Dimension In Space and is the Doctor's spaceship which looks like a wooden Police Telephone Box from the 1950s on the outside, but is "bigger on the inside!" This incredible machine is piloted by The Doctor in all 11 of his incarnations, and because of a broken chameleon circuit is stuck in the shape of a Police Box instead of being able to blend into its surroundings. The TARDIS is a living machine, grown and not built, and is able to transport the Doctor in time and space, disappearing in one place only to reappear somewhere else!

Based on the 11th Doctor and coming with mini figures of the 11th Doctor (complete with sonic screwdriver) and his companions Amy Pond, Rory Williams and River Song, now you can build this iconic spaceship with the TARDIS interior console room, exterior Police Box and alien world landscape so you can have your own adventures of the 11th Doctor and being building blocks (similar and compatible with lego) you can destroy and rebuild the TARDIS as often as you like, maybe even making tweeks and changes as you see fit, letting your imagination run wild!

Building the TARDIS can be time consuming, as there are 665 pieces, but the instructions are easy to understand and follow, although one suggestion I will make is to sort out the pieces by colour before you start as it makes searching for the piece you need that much easier.

Once built, my son had lots of fun playing with his very own TARDIS and since the TARDIS playset is compatible with other Character Building Doctor Who sets, then I will buy him more to grow his collections and his adventures.

An ideal gift for Christmas or Birthday for any little (or big) Doctor Who fan!

I bought the Character Building Doctor Who TARDIS Console Playset myself from the shop and I haven't been asked to write a review at all. I received no payment and the review is my own honest and unbiased opinion of the product and I retain full editorial control and integrity.
