MISSING! Please Help Find #AprilJones

This past week, whilst we've all been enjoying time as a family and our canal boat holiday. Bad times have been happening back home in a neighbouring town. Something that has shattered the community and I know it will never be the same, we've lost our innocence and nievity and the belief that our children are safe to play outside as bad things could never happen here!

But then, on Monday the 1st October at 7pm, that image changed when all parents heard the news that every parent fears and dreads. A small girl, aged just 5 years old from Machynlleth in Mid Wales, was out playing on her bike near some garages not far from home when some perverted excuse of a man convinced her to climb into his van and she did so willingly. Why we will probably never know, but that was the last time that little April Jones was seen.

Police have since arrested and charged local 46 year old Mark Bridger and with the kidnap and murder of April Jones and perverting the course of justice and he will appear in Aberystwyth court on Monday. But even though the police have charged him with April's murder and that five days have passed since her abduction, a day for every year little April has been alive, she is still missing and people are hoping and praying against hope that she will still be found alive.

April was last seen at 7pm around the Bryn y Gog estate in Machynlleth, she was wearing a purple knee length coat with a grey fur around the hood (the one in the picture below), over her school uniform of white polo shirt and black trousers. She was seen getting willingly into a vehicle as witnessed by the friend she was playing with.

The following day police arrest Mark Bridger on the A487 just North of Dyfi Bridge, walking in the direction of Machynlleth, and at the time he was wearing a camouflage green jacket, black waterproof overtrousers with camouflage trousers beneath those. His car, a blue Land Rover Discovery with the registration number L503 MEP has since been recovered by the police at a repair garage in the Old Station Road are of Machynlleth.

Police are still appealing for anyone who saw Mark, or his vehicle, between Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon to please come forward  no matter how insignificant you might think it is, it could be just the clue that the police need to help find April, and until her body is found, there is always the chance that she is still alive. Someone out there knows where she is, and we need that person to come forward and help reunite mother and daughter.

I cannot imagine the horror that April's parents, Coral and Paul Jones, must be going through. I have a 5yr old daughter as well and the thought of something like this happening to her is more than I can bear.

So please, light a candle for April and keep her and her family in your prayers!

If you have any information then please contact the police on 0300 2000 333 or 101
